Reporting in the Lawson Fuses Managing Director, the UK & International Sales Manager is a key role within the Leadership team.
The role holder will be responsible and accountable for the development and delivery of the UK and International Sales Development Strategy for Lawson Fuses, including delivery of associated plans.
We are looking for a commercially driven individual, who is passionate about developing and sustaining productive customer relationships to further build the customer base and resultant sales order channels and pipelines.
This role provides the opportunity to forge strong links with the international Leadership and R&D teams to influence future market propositions for Lawson Fuses based on customer and market intelligence.
Through the deployment of highly developed leadership and management skills, the role holder will be responsible for driving sales development performance and maximising effectiveness of the multi-located Sales team.
This is a customer and business facing role which will require the deployment of extensive stakeholder management and influencing skills across Lawson Fuses and Lucy Group operations, both in the UK and internationally.
Working along key stakeholders, the role holder will take ultimate accountability for effective delivery of all Sales Development and account management activities.
The role holder will be accountable for :
Development and deployment of the Lawson Fuses Sales Development Strategy and associated delivery plans, including realisation of qualified sales development opportunities
Forecast and delivery of the Lawson Fuses sales budget year-on-year, ensuring and targets are both ambitious and attainable
Leading and inspiring high performing teams and individuals, ensuring the future of the business, ethics, safety and quality are at the forefront of all activities
Ensuring seamless working approaches and a One Team ethos is embedded between the UK, Lawson Fuses India Ltd and Lucy Group business teams
With support of Lucy Group Legal, ensure optimal contracting arrangements are in place with customers, both existing and new
Compliance of all sales and business development and sales activity with ethical and legislative requirements
Development of key business opportunities and joint propositions with other business units within the Lucy Group
Creation and compliance with key performance indicators and delivery of operating targets, including delivery if reporting requirements

Delivery of all people related activities, including but not limited to : Performance excellence activities (objective setting, monthly performance reviews, quarterly check-ins)Workforce planning Development of teamsTeam engagement activities
Develop, implement and drive the overarching Sales Development strategy and delivery plan to develop existing and new sales channels
Explore, qualify and develop sales channels, this is a hands on role which will require significant time being spent developing business and managing key accounts
Develop standardised working practices that will ensure the success of the sales team if applied across the globe
Define measures, key performance indicators and internal service delivery agreements to enable delivery. Ensure the flow down of meaningful delivery objectives to team members
Working with the Managing Director, develop organisational objectives which are aggressive, yet achievable, and tied to long-term goals of the company
Using customer and market data, work with the R&D teams to develop market offerings
Lead, manage and develop a small but diverse team encouraging cross team and business collaboration
Develop and sustain a high performing team culture through; engagement, coaching, mentoring and ongoing development
Lead cross functional and business engagement to ensure optimal working practices
Represent Sales and Lawson Fuses at business reviews, including delivery of all associated reporting requirements
Sales cost account management
Support external and internal audit activities
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience :
Extensive proven strategy development and execution skills
Proven capability of operating successfully at a senior management level
Significant knowledge and application of International sales development best practices, including customer qualification and segmentation
Strong demonstrable record of successful conversation from opportunity to secured contracts
Proven ability to adapt sales approaches when working with the international customer base
Highly developed presentation and communication skills
Expert level negotiation, influencing, objection handling and closing skills
Strong commercial acumen
Sales forecasting experience, with proven ability to set aggressive yet achievable targets
Highly developed leadership skills, including the ability to support teams in a changing environment
Management and development of a virtual team
Preferable experience within the electronics industry
