Job DescriptionThe Security Specialist is responsible for developing scalable security solutions, automating data flows, conducting data analysis, mitigating security threats and vulnerabilities, and providing support on incident response.

Working closely with development and operations teams you will lead and provide hands-on activities in order to deliver the Information Security Roadmap and enhance capabilities on information security.

As such you will be focused on leading and delivering technology change and ensuring the highest standards of information security are achieved across Sage globally.

Key ResponsibilitiesDelivering information security projects and leading the delivery of security technology integration across the product and IT systems landscape.

Developing and helping implement solutions that quickly, simply and cost-effectively deliver improved security for different projects and organisational needs

Working in collaboration with business, product and operations teams to improve security controls and reduce vulnerabilities

Support implementation of security controls throughout solution delivery lifecycle

Responding and providing support to security incidents when necessary

Support the identification of new tools and vendors and their evaluation

Help develop junior colleagues

Drive improvement in key processes / standards and designs and implements new processes / standards

Active contributor to relevant industry bodies, conferences, open-source projects etc.

Proactively share ideas with a continuous focus on improvement, and finding new and better ways to contribute to the on-going growth and success of our business

Maintains awareness of the changing threat landscape by participating in and sometimes contributing to relevant security groups, forums, events or conferences

Skills, know-how and experience :

Must have :

Hands-on experience building automation scripts and analysing data.

Cloud, physical and application security knowledge and experience.

Current experience delivering security solutions and / or providing internal or external consulting services

Technical background, encompassing a range technologies and protocols (good understanding of protocols, technology architecture, systems eg Firewalls.

WAF, IDPS, DLP, Web Proxies, O365 Security, End Point Security, SOAR, SIEM etc.)

Ability to analyse business initiatives and recommend suitable controls

Experience implementing information security technology.

Excellent communications skills.

Proficiency in English written and verbal

Experience of working with geographically dispersed teams

Preferred :

Good understanding of security attack vectors and application security vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting, CSRF.

Good understanding of cryptographic principles and practice.

Good numerical and analytical skills.

Experience of working in an agile environment.
