Linux Systems Administrator - Hedge Fund I have recently been engaged by a successful hedge fund in London who are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator who can work unmanaged, driving the business forward.
A Linux System Administrator is required to manage the funds growing environment. Preferably, with a deep interest in servers and operating systems and professional experience with Linux.
The successful candidate will join a small team which works closely with the trading teams in order to ensure timely delivery of tuned systems.
You must have professional experience in the System Administration field; previous trading exposure is not required, but it is necessary that you are happy with the demands of a trading environment.
Candidate skills : Experience with Linux (CentOS preferred but others are fine) Good Bash scripting Basic Python scripting Basic network understanding Great communicative skills Basic Project management skills Flexible to work outside trading hours for production implementation some datacentre work is required, this will mostly be on saturdays, and for the moment at least will only involve the central london datacentre.
