MMP Consultancy are working on behalf of a fantastic public-sector organisation to source a Service Charge Manager to work on an interim contract.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their existing skills and knowledge within the housing market.
Setting of service charge budgets for all required tenures annually and to the required timescales.
Co-ordinate service charge budget consultation in conjunction with Leasehold Property Managers and Housing Officers.
Project manage and produce service charge final accounts for variable service charge payers within required timescales and in compliance with statutory law.
Manage reconciliation of all banking accounts for sinking funds collected.
Manage the annual service charge examination of variable service charge accounts.
Demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills working alongside management and stakeholders at all levels.
Work strategically to improve services and to lead cross function project teams to deliver service improvements.
Carry out annual appraisals for all direct reports and, if department head, ensure appraisals take place for all staff within the department.
Experience Required :
Experience of successful project management including developing, maintaining and implementing project plans
Knowledge of statutory obligations in regard to service charges and service charge accounting
Understanding of Qube service charge software
Proven staff and performance management skills (service reviews, appraisals, target setting, one-to-one’s)
Degree or property related qualification (desirable)
