Job Description

Domus have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager to join a person-centered care organisation that provide care and accommodation for and adults with Autism, Complex Needs and Learning Disabilities.

As Service Manager, you will have responsibility for managing the existing supported living and domiciliary care services within West Sussex.

Your role will involve leading a team of Support Workers to ensure that an innovative and person-centered approach is delivered to every individual cared for.

Reporting to the Head of Service and Operations Manager you will effectively manage all staffing levels and be responsible for the administration and financial matters related to this provision.

This role would suit a confident, proactive and experienced Manager with previous experience of managing Supported Living and Domiciliary services.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week with flexibility to travel within the West Sussex area and cover the needs of the business when required.

Your duties would include :

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers whilst developing a personalised support plan to meet the needs of each individual
  • Performing regular reviews of individuals support plans in line with individual needs, statutory guidelines and Company policy
  • Providing strategic development of the service to ensure best practice and continuous improvement
  • Recruiting new members of staff, in line with the selection process and with the support of the HR team
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with CQC, commissioning authorities and framework agreements
  • Key skills and experience required :

  • Health and social care, working with adults who have learning difficulties and complex challenging behaviour
  • Creating and adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring that the Company is always working within legislation guidelines
  • Maintaining relations with local authorities, family members and others who are involved with the Service, and attending meetings with Professionals relating to the health and wellbeing of the individuals.
  • Ideally hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager with CQC, ideally within a Supported Living or Domiciliary setting
  • Experience of working with Local Authority Social Work teams
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving license
