Job Purpose

Next Generation Products (NGP) is part of British American Tobacco Group, focused on developing and delivering high quality nicotine alternatives to adult smokers in the key areas of Vapor and Tobacco Heating Products.

The purpose of this role is to support the continuous improvement of NGP consumables through product testing and analysis.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Conduct a variety of tests on products in order to evaluate variability and performance
  • Manage data analysis using a range of statistical methods
  • Write formal technical reports
  • Work with 3rd party test houses to process product testing in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Manage materials ordering and inventory of specific NGP consumables materials and products
  • Communicate product risks and issues identified
  • Work with the Quality function in the processing of quality data to better understand the product performance and causes of consumer complaints
  • Identify and suggest changes to operating procedures or product specifications
  • Maintain and increase awareness of technical development on NGP.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 1st Degree level in Sciences
  • Experience in technical report writing
  • Experience in working in a laboratory
  • Previous industrial experience as a Technician would be preferable
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of statistics would be desirable.

  • Base salary from £27,200 to £34,000 per year, depending of relevant experience
  • Bonus target up to 20% of annual base salary
