About this role

To assist the Finance and Funding Compliance Manager in managing the finances and Levy on behalf of the BT Apprenticeship Team.

Responsible for creation and management of Purchase Requisitions / Purchase Orders and supplier invoicing from the iBuy and Camera systems.

Asissting with management of the DAS account. Provide quality support and processes to the rest of the Apprentice Team. Production of regular and ad-hoc report requirements across a range of MIS data.

The Apprenticeship Team will provide a service to easily understand if apprenticeships are the right option for their skills needs and feel confident that they can implement apprenticeship programmes smoothly within their business.

We will also provide data and reports so they know what is happening with their programmes and learners. We will work towards more automated information to simplify the information flow.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Raise Purchase Requisitions via iBuy / Camera / iSupplier
  • Purchase Order management
  • Management of supplier invoices
  • Receipt of services against Purchase Orders
  • Management of the DAS account and reporting to manager
  • Update Learner detail on DAS and maintain learner database
  • Reconcile monies in and out of the DAS
  • Assist with reconciliation of levy drawdowns at CFU & individual learner level
  • Maintain supplier invoices via Markview
  • Update team on service impacting issues
  • Provision of data for audit purposes
  • Finance month end preparation
  • Support for compliance reporting
  • Monthly check of non-pay report
  • Weekly / regular meetings with manager / team
  • Manage any government incentive schemes
  • You'll have the following skills & experience

    Experience preferably experience with finance and apprenticeships. The priority would be from a finance background, handling invoices, raising POs, budget involvement and communicating with suppliers.

    Apprenticeship levy knowledge would be a nice to have.

  • High attention to detail
  • Data focused, familiar with Excel and reporting
  • Excellent communicator (some of our suppliers can be quite demanding)
  • Organised there are many steps to our financial process that require a bit of chasing, things can time out if missed for example which would in turn delay supplier payment
