Behavioural Specialist

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a behaviour support assistant to work with a school in Reading!

About the role :

  • This position is Monday to Friday during term time and a long-term role. Starting asap. The hours will be 8.30am to 3.30pm.
  • Personal or educational experience working with SEN needs is desired
  • Your job role will involve assisting the pupil with their work, making it exciting and interesting for them. The class teacher will plan the students work with the help from you informing them on how they have coped with similar work and how the previous day had gone.
  • Learning will need to be made fun for the student by using additional resources such as counting counters, learning games and cards.
  • Learning will need to be broken up by doing other activities including arts and crafts, music and reading time in the afternoon where you read a story to the student, so they go home relaxed.
  • All the supplies you need will be provided and set up in the room for you.

    You will need a full DBS check; this can be done during your application process.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
