The role of the Finance Manager Energy and Power & Cooling is to partner the Director of Energy and Environment to optimise the Capx investment in Energy and P&C, to minimise the Energy budget of c£300m managing all financial aspects of the cost bases.

What you'll be doing

  • Financial authority for reporting, budgeting and planning across Energy and P&C : P&L, Balance Sheet and Working Capital across all years of the plan, including in year outlooks.
  • Financial decision making on Energy and P&C investment cases and transformation initiatives.
  • Manage the financial governance on all transformational programmes including adiabatic cooling, rectifiers and legacy reduction programmes including PSTN closure.
  • Improve the management and governance re Energy stock holdings and balance sheet items.
  • We'll also need to see these on your CV

  • Typically degree level or equivalent
  • Fully qualified accountant / Further qualification to support specialism (.e.g. CIMA, ACCA, IIA, CISA, ACT, CTA, MCT, IR Society Certificate or equivalent), or exceptionally equivalent experience.
  • Experience across a wide range of finace disciplines desirable.
  • Experience of driving cross CFU change.
  • Experience you would be expected to have

  • A track record of effectively influencing stakeholder requirements
  • Strength of driving a customer centric approach in all financial processes.
