Morton Michel have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, ambitious and results orientated Business Development Executive.
You will work to identify and secure new partner’s and key client opportunities alongside developing existing client and partner relationships to increase revenue & market share.
The role will mainly focus on the children's activity and home childcare sectors where you will be supporting the development of the brand and proposition for these established and new childcare products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of New Business target largely through development of new and existing introducer relationships including children's activity franchises, home childcare agencies, associations and local authorities which will be driven by your excellent negotiating skills.
The Role
Identify, build and maintain a pipeline of introducers and new revenue opportunities
Manage and grow existing clients to maximise penetration and income potential
Construct robust and successful business proposals that secure new contracts and long-term client and introducer relationships
Deliver individual new business targets
Contribute to overall business retention targets and deliver individual retention targets by managing and retaining identified existing key relationships driving greater penetration
Gather market insight to feedback to support in developing the brand proposition
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer contact, and provide accurate and timely MI, Planning and Forecasting for profitability and growth of the accounts
Finalise commercial and contractual negotiations as part of any tender process, new partnership or renewal of partnership
Adhere to the contact strategy for the Key Accounts for the brand
Lead meetings for prospective, new and existing clients
Networking at key events
Represent the business at major industry events, conferences and trade shows
Work with all key stakeholders ensuring successful delivery of new and existing business relationships
Attend / lead internal meetings as required
The Candidate
At least 3 years relevant experience within the Insurance & Finance sector with a proven track record of achieving targets, experienced at establishing and maintaining business relationships and possess a commercial knowledge of insurance industry.
A passion for sales with at least 5 years’ relevant sales / relationship management experience and working knowledge of risk, legal and FCA regulations.
Ideally with an established network with the ability to build strong connections, productive relationships and the ability to facilitate open communication between teams and departments.
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiating skills
Creative with excellent presentation skills and an eye for an opportunity.
A candidate with experience of working in and selling to the childcare sector is desirable.
