We are looking for a hands-on and collaborative People Strategy Specialist. This person will sit between the Business Partner and Talent Acquisition functions within the People Strategy team.
Your day-to-day exposure to our business will have you partnering with client groups, working on strategic employee benefit offerings, supporting end-
to-end hiring, metrics and reporting work, and ad hoc projects that come up within the People Strategy group. This position will report to our Director, People Strategy with a dotted line into the Talent Acquisition team.
On the Job
Conducts weekly meetings with assigned business groups at dataxu and work closely with respective managers and employees
Manages and resolves employee relations issues
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partners with the legal department as needed / required.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Manages all People Strategy weekly and quarterly reports / metrics
Recruit and interview potential applicants for positions across the business focused at the entry and junior level - this requires screening inbound candidates and sourcing / screening passive candidates.
Updates job requirements within the Applicant Tracking System and support all external job postings
Organize and manage internal and external offer documents and track any upcoming new hires
Contact applicant references and perform background checks
Represent dataxu at industry meetups and campus recruiting events
3-5 years working in People Operations / Human Resources or Talent Acquisition with a desire to broaden your knowledge across the business function
BSc / BA in Business administration or relevant field
A strong passion for building relationships and partnering with business leadership
Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
Strong organizational skills - You must be able to plan and execute programs of all kinds, from all-team retreats to company parties, and onboard multiple people at once.
Knowledge of employment / labor laws
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and G Suite (Google);
Experience with HR systems, including an HRIS system (e.g. ADP) and Applicant Tracking System (e.g. Greenhouse)
Excellent communication and people skills
Aptitude in problem-solving
Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
