We are looking for a Principal Consultant to lead the delivery of Transaction Monitoring transformation projects.
Our clients are global Tier 1 and Tier 2 Financial Service institutions and they are looking for support in delivering complex Transaction Monitoring Optimisation and Holistic Change programmes.
Principal Consultants are responsible for the overall delivery assurance, integrity and coherence of projects, and in developing and maintaining a rigorous programme environment across each phase of the delivery lifecycle.
This will include bringing Financial Crime subject matter expertise to fast-paced, large-scale Transaction Monitoring change programmes, but also proven knowledge and fungibility across Financial Crime topics, including : Onboarding and KYC, Counter Terrorist Financing, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Fraud, and Market Abuse.
Customer relationships are at the heart of everything we execute, and therefore you will have the drive to grow your book of business as well as to cultivate strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers across the market.
We will also expect your leadership contribution to help us build out our Financial Crime practice including the client account planning, definition of solution offerings, recruitment, marketable Thought Leadership, and internal practice contributions.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
Deep knowledge of Transaction Monitoring operational challenges and the Financial Crime regulatory environment in the UK is essential (with a good understanding of the European and Global environment context is highly desirable).
PC candidates can demonstrate :
Proven experience in planning, leading and delivering large-scale Financial Crime programmes or projects (10+ personnel, multi-year, multi-functional, multi-geography), and monitoring progress, anticipating issues and proactively initiating corrective actions.
Proven experience utilising analytics and technology to meet national and international Transaction Monitoring obligations, including : Transaction Monitoring optimisation and change delivery, rules setting, thresholds calibration and testing, but also holistic TM systems’ change delivery, with experience with wider coordination of : Target Operating Models evaluation and design, Policies and Procedures, Training, Regulatory Review, Management Information design, and case management systems integration.
Ability to gather Transaction Monitoring programme requirements from business and risk stakeholders, transform them into design documentation, and to follow through with effective TM systems and / or process implementation.
Proven experience evaluating and implementing available Transaction Monitoring market solutions.
Significant experience in presenting to and credibly engaging senior client stakeholders, whilst providing appropriate challenge and SME insight in pursuit of best solution outcomes for the Client.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, robust leadership and programme management skills are essential.
Proven record of successfully managing and developing individuals, from a project and career coaching perspective.
A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience delivering Transaction Monitoring solutions and / or working a relevant anti-financial crime function at a financial services institution or a consultancy
Proficient and advanced user of MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Strong academic background (degree level or similar) with relevant financial crime qualifications preferred (e.g. CAMS Certification, ICA Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention, ICA Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering, ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance).
