An exciting opportunity for a dynamic, people focused HR Officer to join a small HR team who work collaboratively together to play a critical part in helping the business achieve their goals.

The organisation sit in the Tech sector in a service lead function where its staff are at the core of it's success.

The role : The HR Officer is responsible for supporting the HR team in ensuring delivery of HR activities in order to achieve the HR strategy and operating plan.

The successful candidate is likely to have 2 years + experience working in an SME and want to grow their HR career in alignment with the businesses ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years.

The primary job responsibilities include :

  • Supporting the full recruitment process at manager and HR level
  • Perform general administrative support and assistance to the HR department
  • Updating and maintaining the HR Information System data, ensuring the accurate recording of confidential personal, employment, and staffing information
  • Consulting on issues related to workplace relations and providing first line HR advice and support to line managers and employees, explaining procedures, policies, and legislation in a timely effective manner
  • Support HR BP activities and interaction with management and employees
  • Key Accountabilities

  • Co-ordination of all recruitment activities
  • Direct recruitment activity, including LinkedIn, online job boards etc
  • To build & develop a talent pool for CSI
  • Supporting Managers / Supervisors to update job descriptions, produce job adverts, schedule and assist with interviews as necessary, produce interview questions
  • Management of PSL & liaising with recruitment agencies for specialist roles as required
  • Preparation and issue of appropriate contractual documentation in relation to appointments, terminations, and variations of employment
  • Processing new starter paperwork, gaining new starter references, right to work documents and writing and sending out of contracts, and updating payroll with any changes
  • Assisting with the offboarding and exit interviews for leavers, processing leaver paperwork
  • Supporting the wider HR team with adhoc projects
  • Assisting with Employee Relations matters, such as scheduling of employment relations meetings, taking notes for performance, grievance, disciplinary & absence review meetings
  • Draft HR paperwork for staff in relation to contract amendments as instructed
  • Supporting HR BP interaction / actions and activity across the business
  • Skills and Experience :

  • Previous administrative experience within a HR department
  • Inhouse Recruitment experience
  • Previous experience within a HR BP centric role
  • CIPD qualification would be an advantage.
  • Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
  • Experience working with the highest level of discretion. Maintaining confidentiality and always adhering to data protection legislation

  • Self-motivated, flexible in approach, enthusiastic team player
  • Strong rapport and relationship building skills with internal / external customers
  • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, results driven
  • Methodical in approach with sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail
