Development of TPS solutions, including requirement analysis, design, development, test and qualification support, working with OEM and other external vendors to ensure that subsystem specifications and interfaces are correctly interpreted and implemented.
Analysis and decomposition of requirements, and flow-down / up to subsidiary / parent specifications to ensure that the specified solutions meet or exceed overall system requirements.
Ownership of assigned subsystem specifications (or sections of specifications), including the testability of the requirements.
Creation of test requirement documentation, defining implemented test scope for LM-STAR, based on standard serviceability testing documentation, OEM and ATE source code and OEM documentation.
Ownership of one or more system roles, and responsibilities for performance and functionality allocation; principally in the areas of hardware and software analysis.
Conduct of design analysis on assigned aspects of the overall system design; preparation of design analysis reports, results and incorporation of results in design documentation and specifications.
Witness and accept subsystem testing, and complete reviews of supplier deliverable plans and reports. The candidate may also be assigned design analysis tasks to investigate and conclude specific design assessments.
Planning and control of own work, within an overall structure established by the team lead.
Presentation of design at internal and independent reviews.
Technical risk assessment and reduction, including identification and assessment of Technical Performance Measures

Required skills, qualifications and experience
Proven experience in complex system design, development and performance analysis, particularly in the defence or aerospace domain.
Proven experience of ATE TPS technical development and including TPS development fast-track techniques, TPS fault diagnosis, TPS development lessons learnt experience, and experience of effective solutions in electrical, mechanical and software integration.
Proven Experience of clearly articulating system requirements, and associated electrical and mechanical solutions.
Familiarisation with C++, National Instruments LabWindows / CVI and TestStand applications.
Systems, electrical, mechanical and software engineering background or experience sufficient to provide expert assessment of design, the creation and review technical interfaces, test requirement creation, workload planning, acceptance procedures and results, diagnose and resolve complex problems

Enthusiastic self-starter with good communication skills, able to work effectively in small development teams.
Be able to work on the task associated with the overall function without placing an excessive burden on the practitioner or expert.
Ability to maintain a balance between attention to detail and gaining an overall understanding of assigned requirements, functions and design within the wider programme.
Ability to create clear and effective reports suitable for customer acceptance, including problem identification and diagnosis.
