Saint Gobain is currently recruiting for a Recruitment Administrator to join our agile and innovative business. This role will be a mix between working from our East Leake site and homeworking, ideally you will be in the office once or twice a month.

This role is the perfect role for someone with a sharp eye for detail, loves getting into the granular detail and building relationships with stakeholders as well as interested in developing their skillset and career to support their own development.

As Recruitment Administrator will you will provide administrative support to Internal Recruitment Partners recruiting for a wide variety of role types.

You will be the subject matter expert for a range of systems for hiring managers and colleagues within the recruitment team as well as supporting and working closely with the Head of Resourcing and Recruitment Lead.

Your success will directly impact the success of the recruitment function; Saint-Gobain is on a journey in recruitment, bringing most of our hires in-house in order to save money and create efficiencies.


  • This role is mostly administrative, with the majority of time spent supporting Recruitment Partners in their day-to-day pursuit of the very best talent to fill vacant positions at Saint-Gobain, but you will also be usually analytical skills, as well as having a range of general & ad hoc duties, including but not limited too;
  • Supporting the head of department with administrative duties to help in the successful day-to-day running of the department and team.
  • Advertising jobs on various channels, using pre-written adverts as well as your own, to attract candidates to apply to us directly.
  • You will need to write attractive and engaging advertisements based on a written brief from a manager.

  • Managing shared mailboxes to ensure a timely response for all customers, whether colleagues or candidates.
  • Supporting with the wider team’s administration activities to allow them time to source the right people for their jobs from updating the system & data input to travel booking, expenses and IT issues.
  • Writing and administering communications for candidates, internal customers and marketing activities.
  • Collecting information required from businesses to advertise their vacancies effectively
  • Input and maintain candidate and vacancy data in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Be the first point of contact for general enquiries into the recruitment team.
  • Take responsibility for 1st / 2nd line support of system queries for the applicant tracking system seeking solutions via the system provide and super users where required.
  • Administering candidate tests & retrieving results.
  • Data entry and tracking of successes, issues, tends etc. to allow for future analysis
  • Raising PO’s and paying invoices
  • Collating data to interpret hiring trends and to track team performance as well as supplier performance and financials.
  • Using data from the team, the ATS, Customers and Suppliers to analyse activity, efforts, trends and successThis will require you to be at least an intermediate excel user and have an eye for detail, or at least have a basic understanding with a strong desire to learn.
  • Analyse the success of the recruitment process, looking for opportunities to continually improve what we do.

  • A desire to work in a recruitment function
  • Strong time-management capability this will be incredibly important, as a small team managing the vacancies for our 34 UK businesses, you will have to prioritise your workload to support Recruitment Partners in filling vacancies on time.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is important in this role.
  • Strong communication skills you will be able to build relationships with people both face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Strong numerical and written capabilities the successful candidate should also be fluent in English
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and tasks with tight deadlines
  • Competent in the use Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Able to use new IT systems / software to manage workload for this role you will be using an applicant tracking system (ATS) to post and manage vacancies, so you must be able to learn how to use new digital tools quickly.
  • Strong and capable social media user.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with hiring stakeholders
