About Finecast

GroupM, the media investment group of WPP, launched Finecast in September 2017, delivering precision and accountability to advertising on the most powerful adv ertising and branding medium - T elevision.

As TV audiences fragment across a range of platforms and as viewing behaviours evolve, TV advertisers are grappling with how to continue making best use of their most trusted medium.

Finecast was created to help solve this challenge.

Finecast enables advertisers to precision-target viewers across multiple on demand, linear and live streaming TV environments.

It helps advertisers address hard-to-reach TV viewers through a single access point with standardised measurement. All Finecast campaigns are inherently viewable, running on TV screens within high-quality, brand-safe content with no ad blocking.

Each Finecast campaign is custom built around the advertiser's audience target or response objective for TV campaigns and provides a more targeted and faster path to market than traditional linear TV advertising.

About the team

The team is made up of an expanding team of 100+ (growing to over 150+ in 2021) spanning Engagement, Operations, Client Services, Marketing, Business Operations, Finance and Product, Data & Analytics functions.

Role Objectives

The Global S ales Operations Director will be responsible for shaping and executing the global sales operations strategy to support both existing Finecast markets and the roll out of Finecast into new markets.

The role will report directly to the Global Chief Operating Officer and will closely with Market Heads and the Global Leadership Team t o shape and deliver reporting, systems, tools and processes that effectively support global expansion and growth of Finecast .

Travel may be required from time to time.

The Role Objective

The key responsibilities of the role include :


  • Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer to build fit for purpose sales o perations systems, tools, processes and teams that effectively drive growth
  • Identify and build business cases for deployment of technology, automation and systems to improve effici ency and effectiveness of sales operations
  • Develop and provide leadership to the sales operations team
  • Build strong an d trusted stakeholder relationships to drive adoption of best practice sales processes, systems and tools
  • Support development of go market model and plans
  • Technology

  • Work closely with the Global Leadership Team to define a technology strategy that provides agile and scalable systems to support global and local operations and growth requirements
  • Evangelise Salesforce and provide leadership to the Salesforce team ensuring successful deployment and adoption of the technology, including
  • Accountability for the future roadmap for Salesforce that ensures it develops into the data spine for Finecast
  • Own senior stakeholder engagement to drive strategy alignment and adoption
  • Identify and unblock complex risks before they become an issue
  • Coach and nurture Salesforce teams to drive best practice and high performance
  • Reporting and analytics

  • Build a sales reporting suite to provide value add reporting for global and local teams
  • Analyse and interpret pipeline data and key reporting metrics, and suggest measures to improve sales productivity
  • Work with local teams to help them evolve their reporting to drive focus
  • Define a consistent set of data and field definitions to drive unified data and reporting and implement this w ith markets
  • Candidate Requirements

    Essential criteria :

  • 10 + years experience within Sales Operations
  • Strong team management experience and a bility to build high performing teams
  • Excellent knowledge of CRM solutions, both deployment of new technologies and leading business strategies to drive adoption and value
  • Excellent knowledge of building leadership and detailed reporting associated with sales strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management skillset and ability to effectively communicate across all l eve ls
  • Experience of preparing effective management reporting, establishing and chairing meetings to drive outcomes
  • Team work : a team player who is willing to pitch in to get the job done
  • Collaborative team player who works in partnership with others, a relationship builder with a can-do attitude, lots of energy and drive required
  • Self-sufficiency : ability to learn quickly with minimal direction
  • Creativity : ability to develop concrete requirements from unclear situations
  • Critical thinking : the ability to infer and 'read between the lines'
  • A multi tasker : the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality output
