We are recruiting for a Teacher for a provision for pupils aged 4-11 who have been assessed as having social, emotional and / or mental health difficulties.

Within this school, pupils are taught in small groups with each class being allocated a specific teaching assistant who supports them in all subjects.

The school offers a personalised curriculum including practical workshops such as bike repair and welding workshops in the high school as well as a range of opportunities for physical exercise for those who benefit from releasing their extra / negative energy.

To supplement this, the pupils are offered emotional literacy and PSHE sessions to support their motional as well as academic development.

Your role as a Teacher would be to create lesson to meet the learners needs. This would include a curriculum based around academic and social progression.

You would create lessons aimed to allow the young people to express themselves in a practical and easy way, as well as design tasks to help the young people succeed in their lives beyond the school with a key focus on independent living skills.

The school is situated in Manchester with public transport links nearby.

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience. Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
