We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has relevant experience and are educated to NVQ level 3 in Health and social care or a willingness to undertake the Band 3 apprenticeship programme whilst in post, to work with our Community Nursing Team in Oxford City as a Health Care Assistant.

This opportunity is also available to those undertaking the Nursing Associate Training currently.

The Health Care Assistant role includes caring for patients in community settings, including residential homes and their own homes and will deliver clinical planned care, for example venepuncture, wound dressings, pressure area care, measuring and recording vital signs, and urinary catheter care.

The successful applicant will be working as part of the Oxford City District Nurse Team primarily based in Headington or The Leys but will need to work flexibly across the locality to meet the needs of the patients.

The District Nurse service operates between 8am to 6.30pm, 7 days per week. A minimum of 1 weekend per month is expected as part of this role.
