You’ll support people with learning disabilities and exceptionally complex requirements leaving assessment and treatment settings and re-establishing their lives in the community in Westbury-on-Severn.
You’ll be challenged though your success has the potential to create momentous change for the people you support.
We are able to offer full-time and part-time hours starting from 15 hours which will require you to work on a shift rota basis.
Night and weekend only contracts will also be considered.
About the role
You’ll provide excellent support to the two individuals; they live in their own, adjoining homes. You’ll support them in all aspects of daily living, enabling their fullest participation in the life of their community.
Working alongside lead support workers you’ll develop and maintain assigned lead area(s) for example autism, personality disorder, speech and language, positive behaviour management, psychiatry or health.
You’ll be involved in liaising with external professionals and devising support plans and risk assessments. You'll support with everyday tasks and with personal care and medication needs.

If you’re new to health and social care, we provide full training including the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you’ve experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-going training and career progression.

Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and through challenging and difficult times using Positive Behavioural Support is desirable.
Resilient and an innovative problem solver, with a can-do attitude, you’re flexible, willing to try new activities and have an encouraging approach.
You’ll need to be flexible with regards to location, as in the future you may bring your skills and experience to the benefit of services in other, nearby, locations.
A full driving licence is desirable.
You can work 24 / 7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. You have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services - paid at £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
The salary for this role is £17,794 - £18,492 pa pro rata (£9.10 - £9.46 p / h), dependent on qualifications & experience.
