The Role

Concept Life Sciences has a fantastic opportunity for a someone to join the IT Support function within Integrated Drug Discovery and Development.

This is a permanent, full time role based in Edinburgh supporting our three Scottish sites. The IT Support Administrator will be responsible for providing technical support to users with computer software and hardware problems.

This individual will respond to and diagnose problems, including problem recognition, research, isolation and resolution steps, as well as, coordinating an appropriate resolution.

The Desktop Administrator is also responsible for operational procedures for all local IT processes.

Main Duties to :

  • Identify, analyze, research and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Complete administrative tasks within Active Directory and Office 365 Online such as create, delete, add, or remove users and groups.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Maintain and support Windows Server environment, Group Policy management, User / Group permissions, and file system permissions.
  • Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
  • Manage local networks, including LAN, Wifi and WAN connections.
  • Be responsible for all local IT Security and maintain high levels of good practice across all platforms.
  • Qualifications / Role Requirements :

  • Demonstrable experience in Windows based support (Server and Desktop).
  • Travel to sites in Dundee and East Kilbride when required.
  • Working Hours

  • Full Time 40 hours per week.
  • Flexibility is required, some weekend work may be needed and earlier or later start and finish times may also be required.
