Primary Purpose

The Key Account Manager will support the strategic and operational execution of product investment, driving in-season performance against sales and margin targets and be the key point person for all Marketplace partners.

This role will support the Marketplace Lead in developing, maintaining & accelerating the Tapestry Marketplace channel.

The role will have the following main areas of focus / responsibility :

  • Create an ever improving, aligned regional assortment for all categories through the process of identifying seasonal product opportunities to create relevant Marketplace assortments.
  • Accountable for communicating at each stage with divisional partners and retailers where required

  • Accountable for partnering with Wholesale and Buying to devise all Marketplace buying strategies to inform in season product assortments in line with OTB guidance from Demand Planning, adjusting where necessary to remain relevant in the marketplace
  • Lead assortment reviews to be presented to the Marketplace, Wholesale & Buying stakeholders ahead of finalizing the assortment.
  • Drive performance against sales and margin targets; maximize in-season opportunities and affect future inventory
  • In conjunction with the Sales Analyst, identify regional product opportunities & market trends, providing consolidated feedback to inform seasonal SPO’s and assortments
  • Increase knowledge of product, consumer and competition in local market and provide feedback to key internal stakeholders
  • In partnership with local Inventory Management team, understand existing business risks and opportunities regarding product investments and inventory.
  • Responsible for putting action plans in place to reach sales targets

  • Partner with Allocations team to ensure optimal stocks are maintained in line with upcoming promotional strategies, marketing initiatives and key trading periods
  • Partner with Buying to highlight seasonal and promotional pricing opportunities across all marketplace platforms
  • Support the Marketplace Lead with retailer profiling and contractual negotiations
  • Partner with Wholesale & Marketing to ensure optimal platform content by category and gender within global guidelines and support effective marketing plan aligned with investment
  • Manage sample ordering and photography requirements for all Marketplace channels in conjunction with cross-functional business units.
  • Support our external customer service desk with specific retailer / customer queries where necessary.
  • Build relationships and establish trust with the regional Wholesale Sales, Buying, Finance and Marketing teams

  • Minimum 3-4 years buying experience
  • Multi-category experience in a planning environment highly desired
  • Numerate with strong analytical skills and financial acumen; operates with clear command of the key financial drivers in driving a business
  • Strong sales mindset and data driven
  • Experience of wholesale business model and partners
  • Experience in overseeing and guiding product allocation
  • Strong Excel skills (Vlook Ups, Pivot Tables etc)
  • Experience of Nuorder / Joor a plus
  • Knowledge of the fashion or accessories luxury goods market and Marketplace segment
  • Experience supporting the European market
