Do you care deeply about quality and getting it right the first time, every time? The Apple Online Store is seeking an innovative Quality & Business Process Specialist to join the Digital Content Management (DCM) team.

We manage all merchandising and product catalog content for the Apple Online and Mobile stores, and you will help to ensure all our customers have a flawless shopping experience.

As a DCM Quality & Business Process Specialist you will be responsible for modelling, analysing, optimising and automating internal business processes, particularly paying attention to Quality Control and Assurance.

You will work across geographical regions with a variety of functions, and a range of external partners within Apple. You'll be part of a large, tight-

knit team, ensuring high quality results while meeting ambitious deadlines. You are deeply detail oriented, and comfortable with change and uncertainty in a dynamic work environment.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in business process improvement and re-engineering.
  • Experience with a scripting programming language, preferably Python or similar.
  • Must exhibit high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • A quick, flexible learner that can adapt to constant change and ambiguous situations.
  • A reliable teammate who is able to collaborate closely within a big and diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and good-natured while experiencing aggressive deadlines and increased complexity.
  • Able to accommodate flexible work schedule during critical business periods.
  • Will involve international travel (up to 25 - 50% of the year).
  • Description

    Your primary responsibilities will be evaluating existing quality control workflows, developing automated scripts, measuring and quantifying quality to identify improvement areas, and developing validation processes and best practises.

    We also believe that to truly understand and analyse any business you need to be an active participant, and so at times you will take on content management responsibilities, or project manage teams in a QA capacity.

    You have experience programming, as well as identifying and automating manually-intensive tasks and tests through the creation of simple tools and programs.

    Knowledge of Selenium is a plus. AS A QUALITY & BUSINESS PROCESS SPECIALIST YOU WILL : - Model and document existing quality assurance practises and processes.

  • Analyse projects to determine areas that would benefit from automated testing.- Identify and automate manually intensive tasks through the development of scripts and simple tools.
  • Analyse tools and workflows to discover the common sources of underlying issues.- Co-ordinate and implement new approaches to validation and testing.
  • Evaluate and promote standardised and repeatable practises to ensure upstream processes minimise the introduction of risk.
  • Create documentation and training materials to support validation and testing efforts- Generate reports to better quantify overall quality and benchmark success.
  • Facilitate post-mortem reviews of issues found during projects and campaigns to understand problem areas and trends.- Generate requirements for content management tools to support quality control.
  • Lead internal QA functions during high-profile, customer facing projects and campaigns.- Promote continuous improvement in regards to testing across the team.
  • Education & Experience

  • BA / BS degree, or equivalent. - 2 - 5 years experience in a similar quality assurance, control, or business process role.
  • DESIRED :
  • Exposure with Selenium and / or web-site automation.
  • An understanding of object orientated principles and design.
  • Previous experience in an eCommerce environment, and an understanding of web-site architecture and maintenance.
  • Experience with content management systems on online and mobile platforms.
