Main duties of the job
To lead on day to day administration and processing of medical and dental temporary staffing payments including Locum on Duty (Allocate).
This will include running reporting information, dealing with first line pay queries and working closely with the payroll and rostering teams and providing support to clinical departments and medical staff.
Responsible for ensuring project meetings, plans and actions are effectively managed and coordinated to ensure delivery of project to timescales and issues escalated in a timely manner.
This role will work closely with the TSS Team Leaders, Project Support Manager and TSS Manager, as well as trust-wide colleagues, professional leads and external agencies leading the day-to-day operational delivery of TSS services across the organisation.
Strong communication, analysis, and organisational skills will be crucial, as will the ability to multitask, manage your own workload in a proactive and effective manner, and to work under your own initiative.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will also be expected to actively research, coordinate and implement specific work streams ensuring actions are taken forward in line with set project and system development plans.
The post holder will be required to work with other departmental and professional leads to progress actions and support the identification of project solutions whilst taking account of wider implications.
The TSS Payments and Projects Officer will lead on managing payments for internal and external temporary workers. This will include monitoring workload levels, strong relationships with internal and external contacts and escalating any concerns to the TSS Team Leaders in relation to delays with paying temporary workers
Create and maintain SOPs (standard operating procedures) for payroll process’s
Maintain project plans and databases to track progress and effectively communicate any issues
Act as the escalation contact for the investigation and resolution of queries and complaints, ensuring the development and implementation of actions to prevent any reoccurrence.
Identify areas for change and improvement and provide appropriate recommendation to the TSS Manager. Implement authorised actions and initiate corrective action where appropriate
Able to run reports and analyse data requests
Attend internal meetings alongside the TSS Team Leader, TSS Deputy Manager and TSS Manager in order to identify and resolve any potential issues
Work closely with key workforce teams in order to assure that communication between all workforce teams is maintained
Assist in project work as directed e.g. obtaining information from various sources, collation and reporting of data, assisting in the production of reports and other documents
Train new users including clinical and non clinical staff on TSS booking and payment systems and monitor user accounts
Undertake interviews as and when required
