Your role

  • Our Accounting Operations Assurance team enables banking CXOs to create world class operations and finance functions by assessing and providing insights on the organisation, strategy, processes, systems and controls;
  • resulting in enhanced capabilities, efficiency, cost reduction and performance. Our team advises clients on finance and operations modernisation, effectiveness of control design & operation, transformation, process redesign and improvements, whether effected through optimisation, restructuring and / or regulatory changes.

    Our client base includes some of the most prestigious names in the banking and investment banking sectors, including :

  • Large banking organisations with complex structures requiring optimisation
  • Major UK and global banks with extensive financial and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Challenger banks looking to modernise finance and operational functions
  • Investment firms gearing up for regulatory-driven changes
  • Fintech firms looking to disrupt traditional banks and grow at a rapid pace
  • We provide services to clients such as :

  • Supporting the C-Suite in defining a clear vision, strategy and roadmap by building on current performance & capabilities, business insights and stakeholder expectations to create value.
  • Assessing and evaluating the finance function including full close, consolidate and reporting process.
  • Providing insights and advice to enhance the finance operating model including automation, processes, reconciliations and systems.
  • Assisting in set up, documentation and evaluation of control frameworks.
  • Providing assurance over design & implementation of controls, controls remediation and peer benchmarking.
  • Supporting US SOX controls testing programs and test of effectiveness, as well as the potential adoption of a SOX equivalent in the UK.
  • Assisting in navigating through changes in regulation (e.g. OCIR, RWA), accounting change (e.g. IFRS 16) or supporting the client’s ability to deal with significant one-off transactions or events including a transition of ownership, M&A, private equity or IPO.
  • Using our expertise and experience with peer clients to help redesign and implement solutions or tools in response to internal or external demands.
  • Supporting our clients in addressing short-term capability and capacity constraints by providing qualified resources to sustain day-to-day activities or project-driven requirements.
  • Responsibilities

  • Providing high quality advice and insights to financial services firms on their organisation, processes and controls;
  • Leading a wide range of client assignments in areas of finance and operational modernisation, effectiveness of control design & operation and related regulatory changes;
  • Supporting clients in defining a clear vision, strategy and roadmap for their finance function, including full close, consolidation and reporting process;
  • Developing and managing key client relationships across finance;
  • Building relationships across service lines and geographies to deliver market and client focused assurance solutions;
  • Support business development activities and help grow our proposition;
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the client organisation and
  • Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

    Your professional experience


  • Financial services experience (controls assurance, audit, risk assurance or enterprise risk);
  • Experience in the banking industry and / or relevant financial services sectors;
  • Ideally, experience in assisting with change in finance, operations or governance;
  • Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills;
  • Effective time management and commitment to work to tight deadlines; and
  • Excellent organization, planning and project management abilities
