Description

The BI Analyst will be a key member of the Analytics and Insight team within Group Finance as we continue to produce insightful visualisations and reporting for the group.

Highly organized, you will partner specifically with our Finance Centre of Excellence and will be responsible for helping shape and deliver their BI and analytics roadmap.

You will gather and document requirements, interface with data engineering teams to ensure changes and enhancements are made to our data platforms and build insightful reporting and analytics solutions in tools like Tableau.

It’s important that you have experience of Agile delivery principles and a good understanding of data platforms and BI tools.

We use SAP BW and are currently in the process of migrating to S4 / HANA. Our target architecture for data warehousing is on the Google Cloud Platform using tools like BigQuery.

Any exposure to these technologies will be beneficial as you will be sourcing, querying and modelling data for reporting. Good SQL skills are a must.

You will be building reporting solutions and visualizations predominantly using Tableau so it is key that you have good skills across Tableau Desktop, Prep and Server and also have an appreciation for data visualization best practice.

Ideally you will have knowledge or experience of finance, in particular financial processing and control as well as a desire to explore advanced analytics in this area.

  • Able to manage stakeholders and their requirements.
  • Experience developing solutions with Tableau or comparable data visualisation tool.
  • SQL for querying and modelling data.
  • Comfortable querying a range of data platforms and data warehouses including SAP BW, S4 / HANA, SQL Server, Google BigQuery.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment.
  • Comfortable using tools like JIRA to plan and deliver work.
  • Ideally knowledge of financial data and financial control processes.
  • Ability to work with data engineers to develop our enterprise data warehouse.
  • Organised, delivery focused and comfortable working on own initiative.
