My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced project manager who will be reporting directly to the Managing Director the will take overall responsibility for projects during preconstruction, construction and post construction stages in terms of H&S, quality, time and cost.
The position will be responsible for developing a project from a secured job based on initial architects designs to fully working and coordinated manufacturing drawings.
This will involve developing the designs and working out manufacturing and construction methods, liaising with in house and external specialists, liaising with the client and design team to get the design to a fully coordinated and agreed stage.
Once this stage is reached working with the in-house manufacturing team to manage the production of the products ahead of installation to site.
On site carrying out surveys to checks areas are ready and correct as well as liaising with the client team to ensure a smooth and efficient installation.
During the site installation, be responsible for putting the installers to work and ensuring the works are installed to desire quality, in a safe manner and within the budgets for the work.
At completion ensure and effective handover is achieved and any defects or snags are handled in an efficient manner.
As well as project management of the projects the role will at times involve work on estimates and business development and will require a flexible approach to achieve the overall business goals.
Day to day running and management of projects in design, procurement and construction stages

Preparing, agreeing and working to programme and delivery of the same
Produce design detailing for projects and create full production information.
To produce and manage detailed design information to enable manufacture

Answer queries to ensure manufacture progresses as planned.

To undertake preconstruction surveys

Produce operating and maintenance instructions
Helping to develop project budgets for the cost plan and monitoring the same
Delivering continual improvement in H&S
Ordering and negotiating materials
Operating quality control procedures
Liaison with clients, suppliers and designers
Managing training and development of all site staff and apprentices
Assisting the development of the business
Building excellent relationships with all stakeholders
Maintaining the sites to an exceptional standard
Delivering continual improvement and helping the business to grow
Creating and managing a network of contacts that provide repeat business

Qualifications & Experience
Experienced in Joinery and construction
A levels / Higher education preferred
SSSTS / SMSTS - H&S training preferred
