Up until now, significant focus has been given to their Android SDK and its associated apps. This balance is set to shift, and IOS is stepping up! They are looking to improve the iOS versions of all their products, bringing them in line with the quality and scope of their Android offering.
To help them do this as quickly as possible, they are looking to bring on an additional iOS Developer, to work on making their IOS SDK as feature-
The Role :
Day-to-day, you will focus on the development of new features, you’ll be writing high quality code. You will be incorporating methodologies like TDD and SOLID principles into their workflow.
You’ll be porting across a fair amount of functionality, so expect from time to time to get stuck into the Android codebase.
You will be working with varied technologies such as Swift, Objective-C, Wireshark and Charles Proxy. You’ll be interacting daily with APIs, as they use them both as endpoints for data collection and for remote configuration changes from their server to their SDK in the live environment.
There will be an element of architecture, and you’ll be expected to work with your senior colleagues to put in place a clean structural design for everything you build.
Additionally, the code they write for iOS is often multi-threaded, so expect to get involved in challenging and interesting problems around concurrency.
Key Skills :
A previous role as an IOS developer and have worked on commercially available applications or SDK
A good working knowledge of Swift or Objective-C, (although both would be advantageous)
Some experience working with TDD, SOLID principles and understand of what makes clean, readable code
You’ll be comfortable with the ideas behind multi-threading and will be able to work on code that uses this sort of design pattern
Some exposure to the Android ecosystem you should have an understanding of the concepts behind Android development and an ability to read and understand Java or Kotlin
Attitude of a pragmatic problem solver and show a real interest in all things tech, a desire to experiment and be a self-starter
