Working within Leonardo's Radar andAdvanced Targeting line of business based in Edinburgh, opportunities havearisen for Systems Engineers and Senior / Principal Systems Engineers to join theFire Control Radar Systems Engineering group to work on Fast Jet Fire ControlRadar Systems.
It requires an attention to detail, the ability tooperate effectively within an Integrated Project Team with engineers drawn froma diverse group of engineering disciplines.
Support from the existing team willbe given, although the job requires the successful candidate to rapidly developskills in radar system design within the operational complexities of modernradar systems.
Successful candidates should have the ability to deliver highquality work.
Key Responsibility Areas
The candidates will be required to design robustengineering solutions taking into account all relevant System requirements withinthe agreed budget and schedule constraints.
They will be required to presentthese design solutions at design and peer reviews. They will be required to maketechnical decisions within their own sphere of influence.
They will undertakevarious tasks within an Integrated Project Team, including :
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
The candidate must be experienced in systems engineering processes,life-cycle and procedures, including system design and specification as well asverification methods.
The successful candidate should have practical experienceof engineering within a commercial environment or an equivalent research anddevelopment organisation.
Familiarity with RF systems would be advantageousalong with MATLAB or other modelling skills. Strong interpersonal skills areessential along with experience of multi-
disciplinary teams. Applicants shouldbe degree qualified in an appropriate numerate discipline.
The candidate should be proficient in using MS-Officeapplications and with requirements and configuration management tools such asDOORS.
There will be some requirement for UK and European travel, includingovernight stay.
