Our client is a leading and innovative Logistics Supply Chain solutions provider, who as a result of some very significant growth need to appoint an ambitious and tenacious Head of Sales.
The Head of Sales will be part of the Executive Team and will report to the CEO and will have overall accountability for achieving Sales Revenue Targets by delivering new business growth through both Business Development and Account Management.
The Head of Sales with provide leadership and development to the existing Sales Team and additional responsibilities of the role will include :
Grow sales revenue and customer share within existing customer accounts and new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets by continually upselling the full range of services
Lead a mixed team of Account Management and Business Development Managers
Managing, mentor and coach the team and provide the team with the training and tools they require to succeed
Develop a target account list and work proactively to develop and secure new customers through proactively managing the Sales pipeline
Manage the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities and establishing performance objectives
Provide quotes to win customer proposals and opportunities and lead customer pitches and presentations
Experience and knowledge required for the role :
Must have proven experience of working in a Senior Sales Management role within a Logistics organisation
Experience of managing and developing a team of BDM’s and Account Managers
Proven track record of delivering year on year sales growth
Be passionate, driven and hungry for success
Experience of working within a senior management team
