JOB DESCRIPTION :
We are recruiting for an experienced leader to join our growing, innovative Neuromodulation (NM) Division, as Country Manager UK & Ireland.
Reporting to the General Manager, NM Cluster North, this individual will have overall responsibility for sales revenue, profitability, market growth and a professional, high performing sales team.
The Country Manager will meet regularly with colleagues in the other Cluster North countries and be part of the leadership team.
The ideal candidate will understand the dynamics of the UK & Irish healthcare and economic environment, as well as the NM market specifically, in order to identify opportunities to grow Abbott’s NM market share.
They will develop strategic objectives and translate this into operating plans to grow sales and profit in line with agreed company targets, assessing the capabilities of the sales organization objectively and identifying potential for development in terms of Abbott’s competitive advantage, market coverage, brand image etc.
and provide all market information, forecasts, business reports and information flows as required by senior leaders on a timely basis, regularly re-
evaluating performance against forecasts and budgets.
The Country Manager must passionately communicate the sales vision, strategy and objectives, encouraging collaboration and teamwork to contribute to the achievement of overall business targets as well as understand future product and service offerings and branding developments for the Division.
They must build and lead a high performance organization to deliver Divisional operating plans by hiring, training, coaching and developing people, and will be involved in overall organizational design and headcount required to achieve operating goals in the light of local business conditions and forecasts, adapting the organization when business circumstances require changes.
The Country Manager must ensure all individuals within their team are properly trained and managed in a way that ensures operational integrity, compliance with business practices and policies, legislative, clinical and regulatory requirements.
The Country Manager must build strong relationships with external decision influencers and develop high level customer engagement with KOLs, reference centres, procurement, and trust management.
Your preferred background :
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, or have the equivalent experience, with middle-management experience within the medical devices industry.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are adaptable in leadership style, results-driven and strategic, as well as comfortable with change management.
