We are developing our digital approach across a range of projects and are looking to expand our capacity and capability in order to continue to push the boundaries of data-driven design.
Our goal is to further enhance our industry-leading reputation and specifically to develop tools and techniques in the field of automation for Bridge Design and Engineering.
Job Purpose :
Assist in the development of new computational design methodologies to enhance the design process and deliver adaptive solutions
Assist the delivery of computational aspects of projects in accordance with Management Systems to meet time, quality, budgetary targets
Key responsibilities :
Member of the team responsible for integrating computational design processes to projects
Assist in documenting and delivering computational methods and design solutions
Assist in developing computational design tools and libraries for spatial analytics and generative design
Deliver repeatable analytics and design solutions.
Ability to design and generate data visualization.
Assist project teams on design and delivery workflows utilising multiple digital design technology and platforms
Assist peers on computational design software platforms, design process and design management
Write case studies to demonstrate the value of computational design
Generative design algorithms (including machine learning)
Digital Manufacturing (including 3D printing and CNC)
Data analysis and visualisation
Have experience of some (or all) of the following techniques
Visual Programming (e.g. Grasshopper, Dynamo, node-RED)
Programming (e.g. C#, Python)
Discuss ideas and plan competently and with confidence
Effective personal and social skill
Masters degree in Architecture and / or Engineering, with a specialism in Computational Design
