We’re looking for a Director of Music Partnerships to join our Content team and build relationships with the best venues and promoters across the UK.

About the role

The Director of Music Partnerships will define and execute on the music partnership strategy in the region. This role will ultimately be responsible for the rapid acceleration of DICE’s growth by securing new partnerships across DICE’s verticals, with a foundation in ticketing partnerships with venues, promoters and festivals.

Reporting up into the VP Content Europe, you will lead and manage the local sales team, providing them with the support and mentorship they need to grow in their roles.

You will support the efforts of the Artist Development and Commercial Partnerships teams in your region, and collaborate with the wider Content teams to deliver cross-border partnerships.

You have the empathy and communication skills necessary to effectively understand the needs of a wide range of partners, and thrive in build trusting and meaningful relationships under ever-changing circumstances.

You'll be

  • Leverage local market knowledge to develop a strategy in collaboration with the commercial leaders in Europe. This is critical, ticketing is a local practice and your insight will influence how we qualify, pitch and negotiate clients.
  • Secure high-value partnerships leading activities across the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contracting. You will lead on the biggest partnerships in the region by building senior relationships and evangelising DICE.
  • Broaden our base of music partnerships, thinking beyond revenue to create partnerships that will grow DICE in the medium and long term.
  • Working with our Commercial Partnerships team, you will find opportunities that will accelerate DICE’s growth.

  • Advance DICE’s reputation in the marketplace through active thought leadership. You will be the face of DICE in the UK.
  • Hire, lead and mentor the local sales team. You will identify and pursue the best sales talent in the country, from the experienced exec to the young promoter who is hungry for a challenge.
  • Once built, you will train and lead the team.

  • Strategy : You are a strategic thinker, you can be creative as well as analytical in your approach.
  • Leadership : You're comfortable building, training and retaining a team, and understand the power of effective leadership.
  • Communication : You’re a fantastic storyteller and have first-class communication skills. From email tone and delivering effective meetings to prompt follow-ups and clear opportunity mapping, you pride yourself in the speed and efficiency of your comms.
  • You'll need

  • Sales : A stellar track record in navigating the full sales cycle of complex relationships, winning deals is something that gets you up in the morning and you love coaching others through the sales process.
  • Teamwork : We’re a global business and that means there are so many different people to learn from and collaborate with.
  • You have strong experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and recognise the art of strong teamwork.

  • Reporting : Experience with Salesforce is a must as you’ll be responsible for managing your sales forecast and team using the platform.
  • Network : From your experience within the industry, you’ll bring an extensive network of music industry contacts venues, promoters and talent.
