We are in the middle of an exciting time of transformation and convergence is at the heart of our every day lives, either at work, on the move or at home.

This role will have the responsibility of bringing together a number of products area’s and creating straightforward propositions that add value to our customers and help underpin UK businesses.

The role is made up of a number of portfolios, including Voice, Connectivity and Unifed Communications, and it will be highly visible and influential role which brings together market and customer insight, P&L objectives to create a compelling, customer-centric set of propositions to support and lead the transformation in the market

Leading this team, you will have primarily a focus on the Fixed Wholesale segment (Channel, Partners, System Integrators, Network Aggregators and Network Operators), but will also need to integrate into our Mobile and very high bandwidth segments, forging new ways to do businesses and bring propositions to life.

This role will lead the business cases to underpin these propositions whilst also having ownership of continually evaluating and evolving propositions based on new evidence or customer trends.

They will drive the Go To Market and commercial realisation of the Proposition benefits for BT Wholesale.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of people to be brilliant, delivering against ambitious target and replicating the senior culture for people to thrive and succeed
  • Inputs heavily into the overall segment roadmap, strategy and MTP (Medium Term Plan) and holds team accountable for delivery.
  • Ensure key stakeholders are engaged and the voice of the customer and segment requirements are understood
  • Conduct insight and analysis to develop propositions which will create the competitive differentiation in the UK market for BT Wholesale
  • To lead the development of differentiated propositions to the target markets based on the insights and requirements with defined benefits, costs and value to BT Wholesale
  • Develops Go To Market Plan for the proposition. Creates the GTM brief and collateral input into marketing and sales.
  • Manage in-life the proposition ensuring it is still fit for the market and customer needs. Develop changes or recommend withdrawal of the proposition
  • Work with and build relationships across key stakeholders including, but not exclusive to,
  • oCommerical to track P&L performance and own proposition assumptions feeding into the Medium Term Plan (MTP)

    oSales - to facilitate joint thinking and stay close to customer requirements

    oProduct - to engage and work with the technology experts to create fit for purpose propositinos and align with internal strategies and roadmaps

    oMarketing to communicate to our customers the key benefits of our portfolio

    oWider Wholesale Proposition Team - to understand how our solutions can work together to deliver end-to-end solutions

    You'll have the following skills & experience

    MANDATORY

    You will have exceptional stakeholder management experience, having :

    oManaged senior level stakeholders

    oManaged balance of internal team and supporting team relations

    oDemonstrated ability to exert influence to ensure vision is delivered

  • Ability to bring the best out of and inspire the people you lead
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • An outstanding track record of commercial and / or technical achievement
  • PREFERRED

  • It is desirable but not necessary that you will have experience of the Connectivity portfolio, having;
  • oDelivered proposition roadmaps relating to solutions

    oDefined / delivered compelling tactical propositions

    oKnowledge in any of the following technologies :

    Ethernet

    Unifed Communications

    oManaged products / propositions to meet varied customer requirements
