Job Description : The role

The role

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead with extensive experience of delivering process improvement in a regulated service environment with pragmatic application of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.

The role is required to augment our internal Continuous Improvement team by providing additional capacity to support two large operational improvement initiatives.

We anticipate a 3 - 6 month engagement.

The operational teams are based in our Colchester, York and Lisbon offices. However, due to CV-19 restrictions we have limited staff in our offices and we anticipate the role holder will be working remotely.

What you’ll be doing

  • Map and understand current as is’ processes, operational issues and data availability
  • Define the issues with current process and determine root causes
  • Lead process excellence working (lean / six sigma) sessions to conceptualise, analyse and optimize process, eliminating non value-add activities and ensuring that that these opportunities are embedded in to the operation
  • Structure and deliver creative solutions whilst remaining practical, collaborating closely with functional leaders
  • Inform the business case for technology changes required to reduce demand and support new ways of working
  • Ensure right control and quality framework is in place for the effectiveness of a process
  • Person Specification :

    Our must haves

  • Have extensive experience of leading and delivering lean, managed processes within a regulated service environment
  • Have deep understanding of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies and their application
  • Have experience of working within a project and or agile environment with an understanding of the fundamentals of project management principles
  • Possess strong analytical skills
