A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within the Commercial team at Gullivers Sports Travel, one of the leading sports travel providers in the UK and Events International, one of the leading premium VIP hospitality package providers in the UK.

Based in Tewkesbury in modern offices, working in a great team the Commercial Executive role is an incredibly involved, varied and busy position.

  • With partnerships including with the Welsh Rugby Union, Wasps Rugby, Wimbledon Tennis, Cheltenham National Hunt Festival, Hong Kong Sevens, multiple Formula 1 circuits, La Liga and Serie A Fan Packages and the Barmy Army;

    The Commercial Executive will be a key member of the commercial team, reporting into the Commercial Manager. The Commercial Executive will create product, focus on increasing profits, analyse data, build product on the website, control ticket administration, control risk and be the first link in the Health and Safety process.

    All of this is aimed at ensuring the continued commercial success of the company, alongside great travel and hospitality options for our customers.

    This role provides the opportunity to combine your love of data, numbers, sport and travel with making a real difference to the success, profitability, and efficiency of the business.

    What you'll be doing

    You will help to create the product range that the customer purchases. You will understand the market and make decisions to ensure we remain competitive through detailed review of data and competitor analysis.

    Once trained, pricing and yield management will be key to this work. After detailed training, you will load product into our website, build product on the reservations system, distribute Health and Safety surveys, as well as providing training on new product to our sales and operations teams.

  • Source competitive quotes from preferred suppliers
  • Negotiate with suppliers for our customers to get the best product proposition possible
  • Create costing sheets and package products
  • Manage a busy diary f supplier deadlines
  • Lad products into the reservations system and website
  • Liaise with all relevant departments t share knowledge and training
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and other in-house departments
  • Control and assess stock and risk
  • Manage the health and safety process
  • Contribute to a process of continuous process improvement and evolution of one of the world’s favorite sports travel and hospitality brands
  • Research competitors and monitor their product offerings
  • Research new destinations, excursions and hotels
  • Review hotel contracts and feedback
  • Manage specific allocations of tickets
  • Write descriptions and itinerary content for the website
  • Who we are looking for :

    If you are a hard-working individual who wants to be part of a team and has a positive, fun outlook with a love of working with data, a passion for creating profitable travel and hospitality packages and working with systems we are looking for you! We are going to need you to have high attention to detail, be confident using Excel, be able to multi-task and be confident presenting reviews of data and in turn, we can offer you a busy role in an exciting industry with opportunities for progression.

    The successful Commercial Executive will have a strong passion for commercial activity. You will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, as well as an ongoing desire and passion for delivering profitability with a focus on margin creation and protection.

    You will have the ability to work well individually and as part of a team, both following direction and proactively providing ideas, solutions, and decisions.

    You will have the opportunity to work on and experience a wide range of events at Gullivers and Events International. An enthusiasm and passion for sport alongside a familiarity with and interest in sporting events will be advantageous.
