To achieve the level of automation we desire for customers, the AB marketplace will require a web of connections ( integrations ) with a variety of purchasing, invoicing and procurement-

related software. Associated with this will be an ecosystem of organisations that provide integrations and / or services to our mutual customers.

The AB Alliances team works with 3rd parties to create this web of integrations plus develop the ecosystem of partners. Partner organisations include e-

procurement and e-invoicing providers and consultancies that undertake procurement-related work. The ecosystem will extend to commercial banks, public sector purchasing organisations, referral partners and more.

We seek a high-calibre individual to drive Amazon Business's growth by working with 3rd parties pan-EU with some specific UK coverage.

The initial focus will working with e-procurement partners and leading the development of a network of consulting / advisory partners across Europe.

This person will enjoy developing strong relationships with external partner executives. They will nurture and expand existing partnerships, establish new opportunities, demonstrate results and build business cases for further investment.

The role would suit a general athlete with a high-calibre commercial background (e.g. top-tier consulting) and a passion for learning about cloud integration technology, or someone with strong experience in B2B procurement (ideally purchasing software).

It is an independent contributor role with potential for leading virtual teams across Europe. The grade is that of a senior manager due to the calibre of the individual required.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Develop deep and broad relationships with executives at partner organisations
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with new counter-parties and onboard them as partners
  • Lead development of a network of procurement consulting / advisory partners across Europe defining our activities and making the case for resources required
  • Help develop the next generation of purchasing integrations for business buyers to access the AB marketplace
  • Identify other new opportunities in collaboration with international colleagues, defining a business cases to justify further investment
  • Work with AB sales, marketing and Business Prime teams to drive customer adoption of partner integrations
  • Identify mechanisms to track results and feed these back to internal colleagues and leaders
  • Share learnings and adopt Best of Amazon practices across marketplaces (rest of EU, US, Japan, India)
  • University degree, analytical qualification or background preferred
  • Track record of success in roles of increasing responsibility
  • Proven ability to develop strong and collaborative working relationships with customers or external parties and influence others to achieve outstanding results
  • Strong analytical capability and writing skills to frame opportunities and report activities and results
  • Ability to prioritise, organise others and demonstrate discipline and personal influence to achieve goals
  • MBA from a top-tier university
  • Experience of B2B procurement, e-procurement and / or other source-to-settle technologies / processes
  • Experience in procurement consultancy (advisory or systems integration)
  • Experience at a top-tier consultancy, investment bank, high-growth start-up or other fast-paced environment interacting with senior executives
