Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring, evaluation and analysis of production and injection performance.
  • Troubleshooting and remediation of well related issues.
  • Assign well test priorities and evaluate test results.
  • Provide daily production engineering support to offshore operations.
  • Development of production and injection performance forecasts and targets for wells and asset.
  • Actively monitor and optimise well performance.
  • Procedure development for well operations.
  • Taking the lead in identification and execution of production adding opportunities.
  • Develop economic justification for production enhancement opportunities e.g. well interventions, work-overs, facility equipment upgrades, etc.
  • Design, input and review of new well completions (artificial lift selection, tubing sizing, etc.).
  • Provision of production engineering support to well integrity management.
  • Conduct production engineering studies and / or coordinate 3rd party studies as required.
  • Ad-hoc work offshore as required.
  • People

  • Demonstrate, encourage and facilitate effective communication between key interfaces (offshore, drilling, well services, operations, reservoir engineering etc.).
  • Promote adherence to high standards of technical integrity amongst onshore organisation and site / offshore workforce.
  • Provide production related information or presentations to region and corporate management, and other key stakeholders such as JV partners and regulatory bodies

  • Demonstrate leadership in setting standards of behaviour and performance.
  • Challenge accepted norms and seek innovations to improve safety conditions and behaviours.
  • Job Qualifications

  • Honours degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline; preferably chemical, mechanical or petroleum engineering.
  • Experience in use of production engineering software e.g. Prosper, GAP, PI Processbook.
  • Working knowledge and experience in design and operation of ESP and gas lift systems.
  • Working knowledge or developing awareness of rules and regulations relevant to operations within the UK oil and gas industry.
