Defence Digital operates an organisation model in which every individual belongs to a function. The successful applicant will be posted into one of the defined Professional Functions on Standard Terms of Reference for the grade.

The Head of Function for each Professional Group determines the Continuous Professional Development path for their function as well as approving opportunities across Defence Digital for agile resourcing.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

About the Role

  • You will support weekly MoD enterprise vulnerability scanning.
  • You will conduct enterprise wide exploitation and analysis of vulnerability landscape in support of MoD's defensive cyber operations including supporting live CND incidents.
  • You will contribute to the development of new processes and ways of working to evolve as the threat, technology and vulnerability landscape changes.
  • You will engage relevant stakeholders to ensure successful scanning of enterprise and throughout the lifecycle of vulnerability mitigation;
  • producing supporting metrics, highlighting resolution times and issues.

  • You will represent the team and unit at a range of internal and external meetings and briefings.
  • You will have;
  • Excellent IT, data manipulation and analysis skills.
  • You will be eager to learn new cyber and IT skills as well as being comfortable using new capability with limited training.
  • You will have an understanding of vulnerability identification & analysis and an awareness of common cyber threat actor tactics.

  • These posts attract Market Skills Allowance. The Market Skills Allowance is currently up to £9000 p / a and stepped in increments of £3000 p / a based on successful completion of the post category training plan.
