Main Areas of Accountability :
Maintenance and extension of Scikit Learn based machine learning code
Strong interest in building algorithms to aid document classification
Help in the development of automated content curation systems
Maintenance and extension of a custom-built content management system
Working with interdisciplinary teams (technology, editorial, product management and sales) to solve complex and challenging data problems
Development of computational linguistics approaches (e.g. natural language processing) to extracting relevant content from publicly available documents
Technical / Professional Skills, Knowledge and Competencies :
Bachelor’s degree in maths, computing or science with a significant programming content
General interest in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials and the drug discovery and development process
Knowledge and expertise in Python capable of taking well established Python libraries and packages e.g. SQLAlchemy and incorporating their functionality in existing and new applications
Knowledge and expertise of at least one significant database e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle
Proven data modelling and database design capability
Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with all audiences, including the executive team;
well organized and possess a strict attention to detail
Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization as a liaison between cross functional groups
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
