Global Strategic People Operations Specialist - Governance at :

The People Operations Governance (POG) team is the central remit for HR global initiatives; processes, policies and advice.

These are prompt by situations such as expansion, legal and regulatory requirements, unpredictable times and risks.

Through working with stakeholders such as People, Finance and Legal teams, this role will provide process optimization, centralised, compliant, and risk minimising solutions to support Checkout.

About you :

  • 3 years+ successful experience in HR
  • HR graduate or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of HR risk and compliance management practices
  • Proactive and self-starting nature

  • Ability to build, nurture relationships and interact with all levels of management

    You adapt quickly to changing demands and eagerly take initiative to recommend and adjust practice appropriately. You can build strong trusting relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels and have strong communication skills when critically evaluating and recommending solutions.

    What you will be doing :

  • Build a strong understanding of’s global / regional standard operating processes. Use this knowledge to advise colleagues, review and revamp approaches.
  • Manage and improve global People Operations documentation for seamless, asynchronous experiences., paperless functionalities and storage approach.
  • Staying up to date with People compliance; making recommendations to the business on its obligations and why it matters.
  • Provide excellent written and verbal communication on new concepts, business risks, expectations, recommendations and solutions to senior / impacted stakeholders.
  • Identify diligence in employee and company expansion and partner with key stakeholders to implement suitable mechanisms, models and processes accordingly.
  • Introduce relevant processes and policies to meet our aims of operational readiness and optimal organisational experience.

    Collaborate with system owners to understand their functionality and incorporate it into HR risk and compliance inventory / analysis / management.

  • Keep stakeholders informed with relevant obligations through risk / control assessments and provide recommendations for solutions.
  • Introduce processes and policies to support organisational growth and consistency.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with relevant departments such as People, Finance and Legal to form strong task forces across multiple workstreams.
