As Jaguar Land Rover is building its in-house security capability, we are searching for a Senior SOC Engineer within the Cyber Security team to shape and influence the building, maintaining and supporting of new and existing security technologies in an ever-evolving landscape.
Working closely with the rest of the SOC team to Identify and define system security requirements, you will configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure platforms under the control of SOC whilst maintaining, coordinating and performing scheduled maintenance on the security platforms including patching, upgrades and health checks.
As a Senior SOC Engineer, you will be acting as a technical escalation point for the team and to assist with resolving complex technical issues and onboarding new security technologies into the on-premise & cloud environments via project delivery.
You will work closely with 3rd party vendors to delivery and support current and new security platforms and work with MSSP to maintain healthy ingestion of logging events.
A key responsibility of this role is to support critical business requirements, such as cyber incidents or infrastructure outages and upgrades.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
We are searching for a great all-round engineer with experience in both the physical and vertical SOC environments that has involvement with large global corporate deployments.
Knowledge of generic fault-finding and network knowledge is essential for this position.
You will also have extensive experience in building and maintaining security systems and tools with demonstrable evidence of contributing Security subject matter expertise to projects and Operations teams.
You will have previous experience of working within a project team as an SME to delivery security solutions into the SOC department with a thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
