The Facilities Maintenance (FM) Contract Manager is primarily responsible for designing, developing and delivering a sourcing strategy for FM services ensuring executive and senior stakeholder buy-in.

Additionally, the role will strategically manage the ongoing delivery of the IFM Service Contract. This will include day to day management issues, key stakeholder management, escalations, cost optimisation, monthly reports and general management of the head office facilities team.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deliver a strategic sourcing approach for FM Services for the entire Biffa business ensuring that executive stakeholders are properly engaged in the process and buy in to the solution.
  • Manage delivery of the FM Service Contract to the business (approx 200+ sites) providing a safe working environment for Biffa employees and meeting legislative requirements.
  • Strategically manage the FM spend and identify and deliver service improvements / cost reductions across the FM Service Contract along with bringing recently acquired sites into the group FM contract.
  • Ensure that any remedial works are undertaken quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure the FM Service Contract is delivered within Budget, whilst meeting Contractual KPI’s and SLA’s.
  • Attend monthly supplier review meetings and reporting on KPIs and SLAs achieved and missed.
  • Contract manage key FM related categories such as PPE (£2m), including liaising with key internal and external stakeholders and organising regular meetings with suppliers to ensure that service level agreements are maintained, enhancement opportunities identified and delivered .
  • Provide other operational support in the delivery of the strategic sourcing aims of Group Procurement.
  • Represent Facilities within the wider business community, discuss escalations, issues, provide clarity on FM contract services.
  • Requirements

  • BIFM membership
  • 5 years experience within a multi-site business
  • Mechanical and Electrical working knowledge, Air Conditioning, Legislative requirement
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive, conscientious and self motivated
  • Well organised with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise
  • Ability work effectively under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt and multi task when required
  • Enthusiastic and a flexible team player with high expectations of self and others
