As a senior product manager at Sainsbury’s Digital you’ll not only own the digital vision for an area or domain, in addition you’ll be looked upon to embody and role model great product thinking.

Our product areas vary in scale, complexity and domain because digital at Sainsbury’s is deeper than our major websites and customer facing apps, and about our stores and the thousands of colleagues that work there, and, business operations that go into making us a leading digital business.

Currently we have exciting opportunities available across :

  • Argos in store digital platform and kiosks called Pay at Browse’ which have supported our first cashless’ store trials
  • Bringing helpful and friendly financial services capabilities to customers within the retail journey
  • Building machine learned recommendations that help customers discover new products and content for their mission
  • Building best in class payments infrastructure and services that can reconcile millions of transactions a year
  • More about the role :

  • You’ll own the product backlog and roadmap, working actively with your on-site engineering team to build out new features that achieve the area vision and OKRs - this means taking ownership of delivery, blending both pace and quality
  • You’ll have a strong desire to improve customer experiences and will partner with and lead Engineering and Experience Design to work out what the next awesome experiences you want to ship for our customers
  • Be the champion of your product use the right level or type of material to communicate experiences, benefits and long-term vision across a variety of audiences including development teams, stakeholders at all levels, partners and external parties
  • Own the customer and business value for your product backlog, working to deliver maximum customer and business value whilst making effective prioritisation choices to deliver the maximum value and return on capital
  • Shout about and report on the value you’ve delivered once something has launched
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure consistency, drive product goals / shared objectives, and continuously improve product management across the division

  • Proven track record of leading delivery of technology led change in cross-functional environments; you have shipped products at scale that customers and colleagues love
  • Extensive experience of product / project / programme management, or relevant ecommerce discipline(s)
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and developing teams, directly and cross-functionally
