To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirationswe are looking for an experienced Project Manager.

The successful individualwill support a range of projects for clients in major public and private sectororganisations and will becomepart of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects andinternational opportunities.

Responsibilities :

You will be managing projects for local authorities, watercompanies and major infrastructure clients and you will also work with otherdisciplines within the group to deliver projects for key frameworkclients.

  • Project management on a variety of water environment and engineering programmes and projects, taking responsibility for the safe delivery of our projects to meet programme and budget requirements, whilst maintaining high quality standards.
  • Contract administration, including invoicing, forecasting, schedule management,QA documentation.
  • Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of your project team
  • Planning and scheduling work
  • Identifying and managing risk and change
  • Reporting on performance
  • Chairing internal and client project meeting
  • Management and development of less experienced colleagues in the team
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing contracts and support sales opportunities across the wider business.
  • Essential :

  • High quality degree relevant to the water environment
  • Proven project management experience in environmental / water project
  • Chartered or Incorporated through a relevant Professional Institution
  • Good understanding of the technical work undertaken in the water environment sector
  • Experience of project managing a a variety of project types and sizes acrossa range of sectors
  • Able to operate autonomously, withauthority, skilled in developing and building relationships
  • Experience of working private and public sector clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to identify client requirements and scope wider business opportunities
  • Ability to use Microsoft Project to write and manage project schedules
  • Experience of working under a range of contract forms, in particular NEC
  • Experience of undertaking earned value analysis on projects
  • Experience of writing project quality and delivery plans
  • Desirable :

  • APM Project Management Qualification or PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Ability to use Primavera to write and manage projectschedules
  • Experience of leading and winning new tender opportunities
