Role Summary :
The Warehouse Leadprovides direction and assistance to all warehouse personnel in order to meetassigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters tomake decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolveissues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities :
Leada team of hourly employees to support the business objectives
Leadthe warehouse team in all safety objectives and promote safe methods of work
Conductdaily tool box talks to cover daily goals and key objectives for the work day
liaisewith the Materials Resource Planners to assign personnel to specific tasks
Develop,coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans
Accomplishgoals while maintaining high team morale, employee involvement, safety andteamwork
Supportkey stakeholders (T&A, Machine Shop & Repairs) with short term planningrequirements.
Supportthe materials management team in training & development of warehouse staff& Procedures.
TheWarehouse lead must have previous experience of materials control within amanufacturing environment
Abilityto build and lead a team through change
Stronganalytical, problem solving, and project management skills
SixSigma training is preferred
Abilityto work without direct supervision
Strongoral and written communication skills
Stronginterpersonal and leadership skills
HighLevel of systems experience, both within MRP systems and Microsoft packages
