As part of a recent investment, we are adopting a Service Integration and Management ( SIAM ) approach to managing both business and information technology services.

The intention is to seamlessly integrate services to provide a single business-facing IT organisation that meets business requirements.

This is a move away from managing technologies and infrastructure, to one of managing suppliers and services. By making this change the organisation will become more agile and flexible, able to scale services up and down as required to support business growth and expansion.

The role of IT Service Continuity Analyst is really important to us. You will develop and maintain our IT Service Continuity plans so that in an unforeseen event we can continue to provide outstanding customer service.

Based in our dynamic Manchester office, you will sit amongst a team of 3 and report to the IT Service Continuity Manager.

What would your day look like?

  • You will be designing, maintaining and communicating Service Continuity plans for identified business critical systems to ensure ongoing service provision during disaster or similar events.
  • Working collaboratively with other teams you will be ensuring the resilience capability of the organisation aligns to Business Continuity requirements.
  • Performing business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.

  • With an eye for detail you will be documenting, scheduling, planning and managing internal SC / DR testing of the banks critical IT services.
  • Working closely with Project teams delivering new services with DR / Resilience capability ensuring all recovery documentation is complete and tested before accepting into BAU.
  • You will be ensuring IT continuity test exercises are planned in an efficient and timely manner, and that all test documentation is communicated, understood and agreed by all Key Stakeholders and technical resources involved.
  • What do we expect of you?

  • Experience within IT Service Continuity and a basic understanding of Business Continuity would also be useful.
  • Ability to work across the Service Management lifecycle to implement and refine underpinning Service Continuity controls within other Service Management processes.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise IT services.
  • A background in financial services would be beneficial but if not, we recognise that exposure to other industries will give you the foundations you need for this role.
