About the Role
As part of its ongoing development Gamma is increasingly delivering converged voice and data network solutions through its channel and direct business units.
Reporting to the Technical Service Centre Manager, this is a hands-on engineering position supporting Gamma’s data products from broadband and ethernet through to MPLS.
We are looking for a technically competent individual who has experience of supporting complex voice and data networks. The role involves managing in-life service requests and incidents, detailing and implementing customer requested changes.
The successful candidate will be someone who has experience of managing bespoke WAN solutions and who can communicate at both a technical and management level through telephone calls, email and face to face meetings.
You will be expected to be available to be part of the on-call’ rota supporting Gamma out of hours.
Applicants will typically be qualified to degree level in an engineering or related technical discipline and have experience in a technical customer facing role in an telecommunications environment.
A preferred requirement is to hold a current CCNA qualification and a demonstrable understanding of the processes / tools employed for diagnosing in-service problems
You will be a driven and motivated individual with experience supporting Cisco technologies, other vendor experience would be a bonus.
