Position Summary :
The position will hold responsibility for the Bio-Techne Biologics and Simple Western product portfolios in EMEA. The post holder will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, deploy and build a sustainable competitive advantage and establish measurable benefits to the business, by executing ROI’s and KPI metrics.
The position will contribute new ideas based on previous experience, as well as contact with customers / prospects in the market and analysing historical buying trends within the biologics and western blot markets.
The Product Manager must enjoy spending time in the market to understand problems, develop solutions and support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
The Biologics and Simple Western Product Manager will serve as the EMEA point of contact person for Biologics and Simple Western and be the general expert on their use and positioning.
Key Responsibilities :
Marketing intelligence understand the market for the Biologics and Simple Western product lines, the customer requirements and competitor products
Create and execute the strategy for the Biologics and Simple Western product lines including the positioning of the product, route to market and marketing outputs
Input into new product development, including voice of customer, product roadmaps and launch of new products to the marketplace
Lifecycle management of the product line including growth opportunities, pricing, sales channels, sales support, product support, forecasting and obsolescence
Monitor and analyse performance of Biologics and Simple Western product lines and manage inventory in line with local policies
Liaise with other Product Managers to achieve corporate Bio-Techne strategies
Collaborate with and receive input from Sales, Product Development, Marketing Communications, Business Development, Executive teams, Key Opinion Leaders, and customers on a regular basis
Spend approx. 30% of time in the field, at conferences, with KOL’s and field travelling with sales representatives
Support executive reviews and input into the corporate annual financial cycle
Education and Experience :
PhD / BSc in a Life Science subject
An excellent understanding of life science instrumentation
Demonstrable experience of working within a life science, product based environment with a strong commercial focus
Product Management experience advantageous
Possess strong IT skills; including experience of working with databases.
