In conjunction with the management team develop and implement material supply schedules to meet the business demand for level 5 and heavy overhaul / conversion projects.
Schedule supplies for third party overhauls and repairs to meet customer demands. Responsible for ensuring that material movements on site are processed effectively and to policies.
Monitor progress against plan in terms of budget, materials provision and site expenditure. Work in conjunction with Production managers to implement action plans to tackle any shortfalls against schedules.
Review weekly consumable expenditure against expectations and budget. Raise Purchase orders and payment plans in line with company policy for requirements within DB Cargo Maintenance.
Manage stock levels across materials on site to drive inventory in line with effective and efficient standards. Develop and implement continuous improvement projects for the provision, supply and management of materials to facilitate schemes undertaken on within DB Cargo Maintenance.
Review and monitor stock in transit within DB Cargo Maintenance. Manage and develop a team of employees.
Qualifications What are we looking for?The successful candidate will have SAP experience (R3k preferable). They will have extensive experience in material and stock logistics management, along with experience of managing a team in a fast paced environment.
Experience managing material requirements for several sites nationally as well as project management skills are also essential.
