HEAD OF PROGRAMME DELIVERY. Hastings, East Sussex. £45-£60k per annum, plus benefits. 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

MEDICA, a leading private medical employer in the South East are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join us as Head of Programme Delivery within our Operations Department.

The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Programme / Project delivery methods, together with experience of delivering a number of technical and change projects within a complex environment.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be accountable for the delivery of a programme of work formulated from a list of candidate projects, to address issues and opportunities within Medica.

Responsible for a team of two Project Managers, you will oversee the projects within the programme, manage risks, issues and plans to ensure the highest quality of delivery.

As Head of Programme Delivery, you will seek to introduce best practise in Project and Programme Management into the organisation from the selection and prioritisation of candidate projects, through project delivery and benefits management.

This is an exciting role and the successful candidate will work with key members of the Medica team to identify and deliver on a portfolio of projects that will result in a range of benefits to the organisation. Core Responsibilities.

  • To work with the Operational Board to identifying projects that address opportunities, issues and risks and to prioritise those projects based on feedback from the Board.
  • To ensure that each project is delivered using the appropriate delivery method (Prince II, Agile, MSP etc). While many projects may have an IM&T component the focus of the role will be on Change Management and Benefits Delivery.
  • To identify, with the stakeholders, the benefits of the projects within the programme and to manage the delivery of these benefits.
  • To engage with all stakeholders ensuing they are actively involved in the delivery of the projects and associated benefits.
  • To educate the broader organisation in best practise around project management and benefits delivery. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of programme / project delivery methods;
  • experience of delivering several projects in a complex environment; strong stakeholder management skills, together with some exposure to systems development projects (ideally as a PM).

    As the projects will include technical, system development / configuration and change, the position will suit someone with demonstrable experience of stakeholder engagement, benefit management and best practice across a range of projects and programme delivery .

    Experience within a healthcare environment advantageous. MEDICA are a vibrant and rapidly growing provider of clinical services -

    founded in 2004 and currently employing around 90 people with over 300 professional service providers (Reporters). Output is increasing by around 20% each year and we are investing heavily in people and infrastructure.

    MEDICA delivers safe, secure, UK-based teleradiology services to over 50% of the NHS. Through our Acute and Routine services, we are the leading independent UK provider of radiology reporting, delivering in excess of 1.

    5 million reports a year. Prior to appointment in post, you will be required to complete a DBS check in line with MEDICA policy.
